36 yearsworkingthe land.
J.L. Arias Todo del Agro started on José Luis Arias's farms in Baní. Today it grows, packs, sells across the country and exports to the United States, with the same family in charge.
A story that starts in the field.
José Luis Arias planted his first land in Baní in 1990. Baní is the home of the Dominican mango: sun, dry soil and a fruit-growing tradition few regions in the Caribbean can match.
In 2009 he planted his first Mingolo mango trees, and in 2014 he began selling his own fruit. Over the years he opened a stall at Merca Santo Domingo, the country's main wholesale market, and started supplying supermarket chains.
In 2021 J.L.A.T.A moved into exporting. Today the Mingolo mangoes from our farms are packed in JL boxes and shipped from the port of Río Haina to Brooklyn, New York, for Coosemans New York at the Hunts Point market.
We still do what we did at the start: look after every tree and stand behind every box personally.
